**Job Description:**

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced EDI professional to join our team as an EDI and Diversity Lead. This role is a key part of our Human Resources team, working closely with the CEO's Office to support the organisation's core operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in reviewing and evaluating internal approaches to EDI, contributing to organisational culture and employee engagement, and leading change initiatives. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, the ability to work calmly under pressure, and flexibility to manage diverse priorities.

This role offers a competitive salary of £48,000 - £56,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including annual leave entitlement of 26 days, flexible hybrid working arrangements, and eligibility to join the Civil Service Pension Scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of a strategy and action plan for EDI, ensuring compliance with the Public Sector Equality Duty and supporting inclusive working cultures and practices.
  • Provide leadership to internal EDI workstreams and projects, monitoring and delivering Equality Outcomes set out in SFC's Mainstreaming Report.
  • Contribute to the embedding of equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout SFC, providing ongoing advice and guidance on compliance with the Public Sector Equality Duty.
  • Develop and implement initiatives and interventions using a robust, evidence-based approach, informed by analysis of staff data by EDI characteristics.

Requirements:

  • Experience in developing an evidence-based approach to EDI and leading work to develop organisational culture and values.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, including the ability to work calmly and at pace and the flexibility to manage a diverse range of priorities.
  • Good IT skills, including in the use of electronic document and records management systems.
