Defence Team Operations Leader

We are seeking a talented Defence Team Operations Leader to join our team at National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL). This role will involve working in a dynamic environment, leading a team of PIE shift technicians to deliver high-quality results within challenging deadlines.
The Defence Team Operations Leader will be responsible for supervising and managing five PIE shift technicians, ensuring a clear line of sight of all safety and security responsibilities. They will work closely with scientists and PIE technicians to ensure timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety, Security and Quality: Ensure staff have completed mandatory training, provide resources for safe operations, and report 'Out of Norm' events.
- Safety & Security Leadership: Act as Building Controller/Task Supervisor/First Aider as required.
- Team Performance: Manage team and individual performance through regular reviews.
- Delivering for our Customer: Foster a positive delivery culture while maintaining focus on safety, security, and quality.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience delivering for customers.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- A track record of applying knowledge in practical applications.
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
This role offers a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including a pension plan, annual leave, and professional development opportunities.
