About the Role

Oxa Autonomy is revolutionizing the transportation industry with its cutting-edge autonomous vehicle technology. We're seeking an exceptional Lead Engineer - Build & Support to join our Vehicle Engineering team, where you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of autonomous transportation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers responsible for the build and maintenance of autonomous vehicles.
  • Oversee the integration of various hardware and software components into the autonomous vehicle platform, ensuring seamless operation, optimal performance, and QA of installation and performance.
  • Lead the team in the physical construction of the autonomous vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, and sensor system installations.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to autonomous vehicle systems, CAN bus architecture, and Drive By Wire systems to ensure vehicles are maintained in optimal condition.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the build and support process, enhancing efficiency, reliability, and safety.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, integration, Oxa-Driver, and controls engineers, to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure that all autonomous vehicles meet rigorous safety standards and comply with relevant regulations.
  • Develop and maintain accurate vehicle build documentation, including BOMs and EOL engineering sign-offs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Motorsport, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in the autonomous vehicle, robotics industry, or Motorsport with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of autonomous vehicle hardware and software systems, including sensors, actuators, and control systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, partners, and customers.
