The Role: Senior Data Engineer - Autonomous Vehicle Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our autonomous vehicle systems. You will work closely with engineers, scientists, and product managers to design, build, and optimize data pipelines, ensuring the efficient collection, processing, and analysis of vast amounts of data.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing large datasets from various sources, including sensor data, simulation outputs, and real-world driving logs.
  • Develop and implement efficient data processing algorithms and workflows using tools such as Spark, Hadoop, or other big data technologies.
  • Build and maintain a scalable and reliable data warehouse to support analytical queries and reporting.
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists to define data requirements and ensure data quality.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices for data management and governance within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on building and maintaining data pipelines for large-scale applications.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Hive.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
