As our Lead Engineer - Build & Support, you will be responsible for providing technical direction and mentorship to a team of engineers responsible for the build and maintenance of autonomous vehicles.

You will oversee the integration of various hardware and software components into the autonomous vehicle platform, ensuring seamless operation, optimal performance, and QA of installation and performance.

Lead the team in the physical construction of the autonomous vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, and sensor system installations.

Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to autonomous vehicle systems, CAN bus architecture, and Drive By Wire systems to ensure vehicles are maintained in optimal condition.

Identify and implement improvements to the build and support process, enhancing efficiency, reliability, and safety.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, integration, Oxa-Driver, and controls engineers, to achieve project goals.

Ensure that all autonomous vehicles meet rigorous safety standards and comply with relevant regulations.

Create and collate vehicle build documentation, keep the BOM accurate, and determine EOL engineering sign-off.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Motorsport, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in the autonomous vehicle, robotics industry, or Motorsport with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of autonomous vehicle hardware and software systems, including sensors, actuators, and control systems.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, providing guidance and support while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, partners, and customers.
