About the Role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled SEN teacher to join our team at Enfield Primary Academy, a high-achieving primary school in Enfield.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, and communication/language needs.

This is a full-time, ongoing contract position that requires QTS or equivalent qualification, previous experience within a Special Educational Needs school, and knowledge of the SCERTS approach.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • To teach a class of 11 pupils with varying ages and abilities but similar requirements in developing their communication, social, and emotional skills.
  • To plan and prepare learning activities following the SCERTS programme with the support of three learning support assistants.
  • To work closely with the attached secondary school and be part of a supportive and established leadership team.

Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience within a Special Educational Needs school
  • Knowledge of the SCERTS approach (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support)
