The Tradewind Recruitment team is currently looking for an experienced SEND teacher to join their lovely, family-feel autism base in Brent. This is a full-time, long-term role for the academic year with potential for permanent employment upon review.

Located in the heart of Brent, our autism base caters to students with Autism, challenging behavior, and associated learning disabilities. The school boasts modern facilities, including sensory rooms, designed to provide exceptional education and support for pupils with high autism needs.

This SEND teaching position involves creating engaging lesson plans and assessing students with Autism. You will also be responsible for supporting pupil behavior through individualized plans and working closely with Speech and Language Therapists. A strong commitment to student development and safeguarding is essential for this role.

To succeed as an SEND teacher in this position, you will require:

  • Proven experience in teaching students with Autism and related conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies
