About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Omakase Head Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver an unparalleled dining experience at Sachi, a renowned restaurant and rooftop bar in the heart of Belgravia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing omakase team, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation of dishes
  • Oversee preparation and execution of omakase experiences, collaborating with the Head Chef to create innovative and seasonal menus
  • Mentor and train junior chefs, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence
  • Engage with guests to provide a personalized and memorable dining experience
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure the freshness and quality of all ingredients
  • Ensure the smooth running of the sushi and omakase sections, optimizing workflow and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen

About You

  • Proven experience as a Senior Omakase Chef within a high-end Japanese restaurant
  • Extensive knowledge of omakase techniques, with a strong understanding of Japanese culinary traditions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to excellence in every dish
  • Passion for creating innovative and visually stunning dishes that elevate the dining experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, HACCP, sanitation, and personal hygiene practices
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle the pressures of a busy kitchen
  • Passion for food, working with high-quality ingredients, and hospitality
