Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing omakase team, ensuring all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of omakase experiences, including Kappo ryori and kaiseki cuisine.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to create innovative and seasonal menus that showcase the best of Japanese cuisine.
  • Mentor and train junior chefs, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  • Engage with guests to provide personalized and memorable dining experiences.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure the freshness and quality of all ingredients.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the sushi and omakase sections, optimizing workflow and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
About You
  • Proven experience as a Senior Omakase Chef in a high-end Japanese restaurant.
  • Extensive knowledge of omakase techniques and Japanese culinary traditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence in every dish.
  • Passion for creating innovative and visually stunning dishes that elevate the dining experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, HACCP, sanitation, and personal hygiene practices.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle the pressures of a busy kitchen.
