We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Cleaning and Waste Management operations. As the Head of Cleaning and Waste Management, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to reduce waste generation, increase recycling rates, and minimize environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Leadership and Management:** Lead, mentor, and manage a team of cleaning and waste management professionals, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluating.
  • **Strategic Planning:** Create and deliver a long-term vision for the Cleaning and Waste Management teams, including developing and implementing policies, procedures, and standards.
  • **Operations Management:** Manage planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for cleaning supplies, equipment, waste management, and 3rd party staff schedules.
  • **Sustainability:** Implement sustainable practices to reduce waste generation, increase recycling rates, and minimize environmental impact.
  • **Compliance:** Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, regularly updating and analyzing risk assessments and method statements related to Cleaning and Waste Management.
  • **Quality Assurance:** Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and proper waste disposal practices throughout.
  • **Reporting and Analysis:** Provide regular reports and updates, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and analyzing performance metrics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • **Leadership Experience:** Previous leadership experience in Cleaning and Waste Management in a similar environment (ideally a large venue/events space).
  • **Sustainability Knowledge:** Knowledge of sustainability principles and experience implementing sustainable practices in cleaning and waste management.
  • **Technical Skills:** Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, waste management practices, and environmental regulations.
  • **Communication and Interpersonal Skills:** Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • **Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex situations and make strategic decisions.
