The University of Cambridge is pleased to offer a prestigious PhD Opportunity in Cognitive Linguistics within the context of the ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership (CAM-DTP). This studentship aims to integrate cognitive research with digital technology to develop an individualized approach to second language learning.

You will be working with a multidisciplinary team of researchers from the Department of Psychology and Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, who will guide you in designing and implementing experiments to identify key cognitive and environmental predictors of second language learning.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in language sciences or psychology, theoretical knowledge of language processing, and familiarity with experimental design. You should also have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

The successful candidate will receive a tax-free stipend of £19,237 per annum, tuition fees up to the national UKRI rate for Home students, and a contribution towards research and training costs. You will also have access to a personalized training programme, including an Innovation Fellowship placement with an academic or non-academic partner.
