Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team at Brakes. As a key member of our Corporate Finance team, you will provide strategic analysis and insight into business performance, driving performance through insight and commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forecasting and planning, analyzing variances to forecasts for key business metrics such as volume, sales, margin, deliveries, and key KPIs.
  • Liaising with managers to rigorously challenge and question their plan assumptions and KPIs on an ongoing basis.
  • Responsible for BUR/MPR reporting for Brakes Catering Sector and Sodexo.
  • Weekly, monthly, and annual sales, margin, and cost forecasting/budgeting.
  • Providing insight into projects, including initial evaluation, feedback, and ongoing success tracking.
  • Reporting and monitoring the division's key performance indicators and investigating variances to budget or year-on-year movements.
  • A central point of contact for internal customers and stakeholders for finance-related queries.
  • Ad hoc analysis, guidance, and investigation to improve performance and drive performance.
  • Working closely with non-finance teams to drive compliance and improvement.
  • Providing insight and reporting based on contractual requirements and specifications.
  • Supporting the Head of Finance in tasks concerning the wider Corporate Finance team, including ongoing process improvement, compliance, audit, and projects.
Requirements
  • A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with experience as a Finance Business Partner, Management Account, or Finance Analyst.
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial analysis and modeling experience.
  • Excellent Excel skills, including experience in financial analysis and modeling.
  • SAP experience is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated and driven to deliver results and positively influence key stakeholders.
