About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Business Partner to join our commercial finance team at Brakes. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the business in achieving its strategic growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Business partnering with the Regional Head of Sales to provide regional finance support to over 50 sales colleagues across the UK.
- Working closely with the Strategy team to develop and drive the analysis and understanding of key business initiatives that directly link to our strategic growth pillars.
- Building and evaluating financial models to ascertain the suitability of new business opportunities and focus on margin-impacting activities.
- Providing financial guidance and recommendations to Sales and Finance managers and directors.
- Attending regular meetings with the Sales and Finance teams to review P&L performance and provide insights on key sales and margin information.
- Forecasting, budgeting, and flash management, as well as ownership of Workday updates.
- Acting as deputy for the Senior Finance Business Partner as required.
- Supporting the team with daily activities, developing new ways of working, and simplifying current reporting.
- Developing models to provide insights on key sales and margin information across all commercial teams.
- Collaborating with sales colleagues to ensure that new business proposals are financially viable.
- Acting as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders for finance-related queries.
- Producing reports and presentations to drive business results.
- Acting as an ambassador for finance, promoting cross-functional collaboration and understanding.
About You
We are looking for a qualified accountant with CIMA, ACCA, or ACA certification, who can drive performance through insight. You will have strong business partnering skills across all levels, with the confidence and ability to understand trends and results. A high level of competency in financial analysis and modeling is essential. You must be comfortable with feedback and able to react with broad thinking.
