About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement and Development Specialist to join our team at Sja's West. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive community engagement strategy to build a thriving community first aid movement across our region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a compelling community education program to build the public's first aid skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders to identify and address community needs and develop targeted outreach and engagement strategies.
  • Design and deliver engaging workshops and community sessions to promote first aid awareness and skills.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and volunteers to ensure effective collaboration and support.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer management plan to recruit, retain, and engage volunteers in community first aid activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
