Position Title: Community Volunteer Officer (East region)

Department: Community Engagement

Compensation: £27,250

Work Schedule: Full-time (35 hours per week)

Employment Type: Permanent

Work Location: Cambridge or Stevenage offices, with the option for remote work and regular travel within the region.

Role Overview: The Community Volunteer Officer will play a pivotal role in fostering community relationships and enhancing volunteer engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing community outreach initiatives.
  • Recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers to ensure effective program delivery.
  • Collaborating with local organizations to promote community health and safety.
  • Monitoring and evaluating volunteer programs to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with community members to identify needs and opportunities for volunteer involvement.
  • Organize events and activities that promote volunteerism and community engagement.
  • Provide ongoing support and recognition for volunteers to maintain high levels of motivation and commitment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in community engagement or volunteer management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
