Job Overview

Award-winning construction company Alexander Fisher is seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the South Coast area. As a key member of the construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed quantity surveys and cost estimates for construction projects
  • Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure accurate measurement and valuation of construction work
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of project budgets and forecasts, ensuring accurate financial planning and control
  • Participate in site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a quantity surveying or construction management role
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with construction software
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
