We are currently working with a leading main contractor who specialises in cladding remediation projects within the residential sector. They have secured a number of projects and are projecting significant growth in this area for the coming months. They are now looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support their Surveyors and Commercial Managers on projects in the Southampton area.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor within their Cladding team, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Conducting site visits to assess construction progress and costs.
  • Supporting senior surveyors in preparing interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Helping to manage and track project expenditure to ensure financial control.
  • Collaborating with project managers and other team members to achieve project goals.
  • Preparing reports, presentations, and documentation related to costs and project progress.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office applications.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a desire to learn.
