Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at a leading construction company. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in assisting with commercial and surveying responsibilities for residential sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with maintaining cost control throughout development
  2. Assist with accurate costing for each aspect of site development
  3. Compile reports on costs and cash flows using available systems
  4. Prepare tenders and procure sub-contractors using established procedures
  5. Process subcontract orders, payments, and variations using Excel and payment systems
  6. Evaluate and agree on variations and instructions
  7. Control commercial aspects and responsibilities for respective RSLs
  8. Attend team meetings as required
  9. Perform general departmental administration
  10. Provide ad hoc duties and administrative support as needed
  11. Maintain relevant filing systems and databases
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a recently qualified Quantity Surveying graduate or a candidate with some experience working as a Trainee/Assistant Surveyor for a residential developer/housebuilder.
