About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Paediatric Pathologist to join our team at NHS National Services Scotland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert diagnostic and advisory services in paediatric pathology, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing accurate and timely diagnostic reports in paediatric pathology
  • Collaborating with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register
  • Full GMC Registration and a license to practise
  • Higher specialist training leading to CCT or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in paediatric pathology and a strong understanding of current clinical practices and guidelines
