Job Title: Paediatric Pathologist Consultant
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Pathologist Consultant to join our team at NHS Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert pathological services to support the diagnosis and treatment of paediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality pathological services, including histopathology and cytology, to support the diagnosis and treatment of paediatric patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of paediatric pathology.
Requirements:
- Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register.
- Full GMC Registration and a license to practise.
- Higher specialist training leading to CCT or within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.
- Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded.
Working Arrangements:
The successful candidate will be employed on a permanent, full-time basis (40 hours per week) and will be based in a hospital setting. The role will involve working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
