About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Paediatric Pathologist to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a key member of our pathology department, you will play a vital role in providing expert diagnostic services and contributing to the development of our pathology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality diagnostic services in paediatric and perinatal pathology, including histopathology and cytology
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new diagnostic techniques and technologies
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior staff
Requirements
  • Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register
  • Higher specialist training in paediatric pathology or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
