About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible Support Worker to join our team at Cecil Court, a specialist support service for adults with mental health needs. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to live independent lives within their local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals to engage in activities within the local community, promoting social interaction and skill development.
  • Provide focused support to boost morale, increase existing skills, and support the learning of new skills.
  • Motivate individuals to rebuild their confidence and assist them in seeing a bright future for themselves.
  • Operate on a person-centred view, taking the lead and hearing ideas from the individuals we support.

Shift Pattern

The successful candidate will work a variable shift pattern, which may include:

Week 1: Monday 9am-10pm and Wednesday 8am-6pm.

Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10am – 7pm and Friday 10am-6pm.

Week 3: Monday 9am-10pm and Wednesday 8am-6pm.

Week 4: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 1pm- 10pm and Friday 2pm -10pm.

Requirements

  • Flexible and open to change.
  • Positive with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Mental Health knowledge is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to encourage others.
