Railway Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Off-Track Operative. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail network.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks on the trackside infrastructure, including vegetation management, drainage, and ancillary structures.
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver safe and efficient work delivery.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
- Proactively plan and prepare for tasks, anticipating the needs of the team and ensuring timely completion.
- Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and focused in challenging situations.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines, challenging if necessary to ensure safety and compliance.
- Develop and maintain skills and competencies relevant to the role, staying up-to-date with new standards, procedures, and instructions.
- Teamworking: ability to work closely with the team to deliver safe and efficient work delivery.
- Communication: good communication skills to work safely and effectively.
- Proactive planning: being punctual, having the van and equipment ready, and anticipating the needs of the team.
- Working under pressure: ability to remain calm under pressure in challenging situations.
