Hospital Facilities Coordinator

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and capable Mechanical Engineer to fill the role of Hospital Facilities Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems at a busy hospital in Guildford, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role requires a proven track record as a mechanical engineer with strong experience working with ventilation systems, CP and AP training desirable. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential, along with problem-solving and analytical skills. A broad understanding of various mechanical systems within a healthcare environment is also necessary. The job involves supervising and coordinating the work of a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and support, and ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety. Additionally, the successful candidate will manage the preventative and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures, and monitor and manage maintenance budgets. They will also contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, participate in the on-call rota for emergency call-outs, and engage in management duties as required.
