About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Sugarman Health & Wellbeing. This role will involve providing individualized support to a male with autism who requires assistance with daily living tasks, maintaining his home, promoting independence, and accompanying him to health appointments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing person-centered care and support to enhance the quality of life for the Service User.
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment by ensuring the Service User's needs are met.
  • Assisting the Service User with daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Accompanying the Service User to health appointments and medical procedures as required.
  • Encouraging the Service User to participate in leisure activities and promote social interaction.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 12 months' experience in a similar role or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of positive behavior support principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • DBS clearance is essential for this role.
