Clinigen, a leading global specialty pharmaceutical and services company, seeks a highly skilled Finance Analyst to join its Lifecycle Services and Clinical Trial Services business units.
As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of management accounting and financial control, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of management information to stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial accounting rules and standards, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
You will work closely with the CLS & CTS FP&A Business Partner and operations teams to provide data and reporting to enable quick and accurate decision-making.
In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Manage management accounting and financial control across Clinigen's Lifecycle Services ('CLS') and Clinical Trial Services ('CTS') business units.
- Review the monthly financial results of the CLS & CTS business units and post required journals including accruals, prepayments, reclassifications etc to ensure the results are accurate and in accordance with IFRS and the Group accounting manual.
- Prepare reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts with appropriate support and evidence to enable efficient review and audit of the balance sheet.
- Prepare flash reporting of financial results with appropriate commentary and complete month-end close process for the CLS & CTS business units in accordance with the Group financial calendar.
- Help with the development and implementation of new financial accounting and review processes around costing and billing through time recording for the Lifecycle Services business.
- Work with the transactional finance team and warehouse team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and resolve any problems with supplier invoice processing or stock management.
- Work with stakeholders in the business units to ensure financial processes are followed correctly and help to resolve any issues or obstacles they face in following these processes, supporting as appropriate with raising of purchase orders and sales orders and stock adjustments.
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis of performance as and when required by the FP&A Business Partner.
- Part-qualified/qualifying chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Ability to use ERP accounting systems (experience of Oracle eBS or similar is desirable).
- Advanced MS package skills (Excel and PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills and demonstrative experience in providing excellent customer service.
- Strong grasp of financial accounting rules and standards and ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to define and improve processes.
- Previous experience in a similar position preferable.
- Pharma knowledge is desirable but not essential.
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum based on location and experience.
