About the Role

The Dare2Dream Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our outreach program, you will work closely with children and young people in need of emotional and therapeutic support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-to-one intervention work with children and/or young people
  • Ensure the safeguarding of and promote the welfare of children participating in the program
  • Manage the induction process of new students into the program
  • Liaise with staff on new referrals
  • Assess the need of the child to develop a bespoke delivery plan
  • Work closely with parents/carers in the delivery of direct services
  • Effectively communicate with partnering organizations
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of services through regular reviews with all parties
  • Manage service evaluation to achieve agreed outcomes

Safeguarding

  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and contribute to updates as required
  • Participate in and complete safeguarding training as required
  • Follow reporting procedures to ensure the child's welfare is paramount

Requirements

  • Experience working in SEBD settings
  • Qualifications in a relevant field, such as counselling, youth work, or education
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with external bodies
  • Ability to manage referrals and maintain accurate and confidential records
  • Demonstrate suitability to work with children and understanding of working with children in need
