About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Fundraising Officer to join our team at the Merlin Neuro Therapy Centre Ltd. As a key member of our Income Generation Team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering fundraising initiatives across Cornwall, building strong relationships with local communities, schools, and associations.

Your primary focus will be on raising vital income for our charity, improving the health and well-being of our community, and supporting our beneficiaries. You will work closely with our team to devise, plan, and support a strong and successful events programme, attracting different sections of the community, including family members and corporates.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an outstanding advocate for the Merlin Neuro Therapy Centre, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be confident in your ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and have a proven track record of community fundraising.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver fundraising initiatives across Cornwall, building strong relationships with local communities, schools, and associations.
  • Recruit, train, and lead a community volunteer base to promote and fundraise for the charity.
  • Attend group, school, and community presentations/talks across the county to successfully communicate our charity's mission.
  • Research and identify new community fundraising and promotional activities that are appropriate for the Merlin Centre.
  • Support with all event planning for the Merlin Centre.
  • Assist the Income Generation Team in delivering against their financial and non-financial targets.
  • Be an outstanding advocate for the Merlin Neurotherapy Centre, representing the charity at external events as required.
