Data Privacy Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Privacy Regulation and Liaison Manager to join our team at Nationwide Building Society. As the voice of Data Privacy, you will play a critical role in ensuring ongoing compliance with emerging legislation and guidance, fostering industry relationships, and proactively communicating with the Data Privacy team and wider stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Represent the team at key forums, conferences, and industry events to exchange insights and best practices, and assess emerging trends and risks to support internal decision making.
- Manage horizon scanning, keeping up to date with the latest guidance and regulator concerns, and sharing knowledge to the team and other interested stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Data Privacy Operations and Advice Manager and Senior Data Privacy Manager to provide advice and guidance on the strategic direction of Privacy at Nationwide.
- Experience of working within a Data Privacy function with a relevant qualification.
- Expertise in data protection legislation and its application.
- Proven track record assessing emerging risks and issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be motivated, passionate, and enthusiastic about your subject.
