Data Privacy Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Data Privacy Manager. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring ongoing compliance with emerging legislation and guidance, fostering industry relationships, and proactively communicating with stakeholders.
About the RoleYou will work closely with our Data Privacy Operations and Advice Manager and Senior Data Privacy Manager to provide advice and guidance on the strategic direction of Privacy at Nationwide. This includes representing the team at key forums, conferences, and industry events to exchange insights and best practices, and assess emerging trends and risks to support internal decision making.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure ongoing compliance with emerging legislation and guidance
- Foster industry relationships and attend key forums and conferences
- Proactively communicate with the Data Privacy team and wider stakeholders
- Work closely with the Data Privacy Operations and Advice Manager and Senior Data Privacy Manager to provide advice and guidance on the strategic direction of Privacy at Nationwide
- Represent the team at key forums, conferences, and industry events
- Experience of working within a Data Privacy function with a relevant qualification
- Expertise in data protection legislation and its application
- Proven track record assessing emerging risks and issues
