Job Title: Automation and Control Expert

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Automation and Control Expert to join our team.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with expertise in automation and control to contribute to the success of our clients.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing and modifying software for industrial control systems, as well as working with PLC/SCADA systems to enhance operational efficiency.

We require someone with knowledge and application of industry standards and safety regulations (IEC 61508, CEFS), experience with communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus), and vast knowledge in power generation or the renewable energy sector.

A strong understanding of DSEAR Requirements within Hazardous Areas (COMPEX 01-04) is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and modify software for industrial control systems.
  • Work with PLC/SCADA systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Apply industry standards and safety regulations (IEC 61508, CEFS).
  • Experience with communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus).
  • Vast knowledge in power generation or the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of DSEAR Requirements within Hazardous Areas (COMPEX 01-04).
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a strong background in automation and control. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role and hold relevant qualifications.

You should also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £40-£45 per hour (outside IR35), reflecting the importance of the position in contributing to the success of our clients.
