Position Overview:

As a key member of our Facilities Management Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our stores are safe, compliant, and well-maintained. We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals for the role of Maintenance Assistant, with opportunities for both single store responsibility and multi-site support.

Key Responsibilities:

Your primary duties will include:
  • Performing minor general maintenance and support tasks across multiple locations.
  • Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to reactive maintenance needs.
  • Executing weekly and monthly maintenance tasks as scheduled, including fire alarm tests and water temperature checks.
  • Managing the store defrost program on a weekly basis.
  • Carrying out minor repairs in building fabric, plumbing, and joinery.
  • Completing various ad-hoc tasks while adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies.

  • A diverse range of practical skills and experience in a relevant trade.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with strong customer service abilities.
  • The capability to work independently and manage their own workload effectively.
  • Basic IT skills, including familiarity with tablets and common software applications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A valid UK driver's license for those covering multiple stores.
  • Physical fitness to handle lifting and moving heavy items.
