Autism Specialist Support Worker

**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our team, working with autistic adults. As an integral member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide person-centred support and recommendations to engage individuals with mental health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- To manage a caseload of clients under the supervision of the Clinical Lead.
- Assist in screening referrals and provide information to referrers, service users, and carers.
- Support mental health professionals to offer the best care for individuals with mental health difficulties.
- Participate in Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and contribute professional oversight and input.
- Clearly document findings and share them with other professionals.
- Liaise regularly with the line manager to provide updates on your caseload.
- Provide interventions in various settings suitable for clients' needs.
- Collaborate professionally and collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Offer information, education, and support to family members, carers, and relevant professionals.
- Promote positive intra-agency working and participate in case load supervision.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of integrated care pathways.
Requirements:
- A registered nurse or AHP qualification with up-to-date registration.
- Further qualifications relevant to ASC and training in delivery of ASC diagnostic assessments.
- Significant experience working with people with autism/vulnerable adults/mental health difficulties.
- Effective team working within a multi-agency framework.
- Demonstrated experience of problem-solving approaches.
