**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Special Needs Youth Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support to pupils aged 8-18 with challenging behaviours, Aspergers, ASD, and ADHD. This is a temporary to permanent position, offering the opportunity for career progression.

**Key Responsibilities**
  • Provide individualised support to students with special needs, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver tailored educational programs, aligning with individual student needs.
  • Support students in managing their emotions and behaviours, utilising evidence-based strategies and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, enhancing knowledge and skills to deliver best practice.

**Requirements**
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (essential).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with children and young adults with special needs (essential).
  • Possess excellent behaviour management skills, or be willing to learn (desirable).
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Demonstrate a passion for supporting children and young adults, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
