Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR Director to lead the HR function across the EMEA region from our Caswell site near Towcester. This strategic role requires a strong background in UK HR and preferably within a high-tech US-based company environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly manage and develop one HR Business Partner (HRBP) based in the UK.
  • Coordinate with a wider team of six HR professionals across different HR functions in the EMEA region, ensuring alignment and collaboration on key initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR matters across EMEA, providing leadership and support to the broader HR team.
HR Strategy and Execution
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with Lumentum's global objectives and regional needs.
  • Drive talent management, succession planning, and employee development programs.
  • Oversee employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
Compliance and Best Practices
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations across the EMEA region.
  • Promote HR best practices and ensure alignment with global HR standards.
Collaboration and Reporting
  • Collaborate closely with the Group VP HR based in the US, and other senior leaders to support business objectives.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on HR metrics and initiatives to senior management.
Travel Requirements

Some travel within the EMEA region is required to support HR activities and initiatives.

Requirements

This role requires:

  • Extensive HR experience in the UK, ideally within a US-based company environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment laws in the EMEA region.
