About The Job

We are seeking an experienced researcher to join our team as an Antihydrogen Physics Developer. In this role, you will be responsible for finalizing the integration of our Be+ assisted antihydrogen accumulation system with both the spectroscopy and the gravity setup.

As an Antihydrogen Physics Developer, you will participate in the development of novel magnetometry, thermometry and rf field strength measurements using laser-cooled Be+ ions. You will also contribute to the overall physics programme of the ALPHA experiment at CERN.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Finalize the integration of the Be+ assisted antihydrogen accumulation system with the spectroscopy and gravity setup
  • Develop novel magnetometry, thermometry and rf field strength measurements using laser-cooled Be+ ions
  • Participate in the overall physics programme of the ALPHA experiment at CERN

Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc in Physics or related field
  • Strong understanding of experimental physics and data analysis
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
