Job Summary

The Financial Controller position is a critical role within the accounting and finance department of our energy and natural resources company, requiring a highly analytical mind and strong financial management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee all company accounts and investments, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Create monthly and annual reports to identify financial performance and forecast, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  3. Monitor the company's financial status and performance, identifying areas for potential improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
  4. Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and legislation.
  5. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations, maintaining a strong control environment.
Requirements

A successful Financial Controller should possess:

  1. Relevant academic qualifications in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  2. Demonstrable experience in a financial management role within the energy and natural resources sector.
  3. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
  4. Proficiency in using financial software and creating financial reports, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Excellent strategic planning skills and the ability to interact at all levels of the organisation.
