Job Title
Accountant (Fixed Term Contract)

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract position that provides an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Accountant to join the Future Combat Air business unit at our Leonardo site in Luton. The role offers the possibility of going permanent after the fixed term period ends.

Responsibilities
As a Commercial Accountant, your main responsibilities will include managing the financial and project modelling aspects of the UK Tri-lateral development program. This involves creating financial models to help the UK management team make informed decisions about the best international solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for reconciling financial data, resolving issues, and providing financial input for the bid process. Some of the tasks include:
  • Creating financial models for work allocation decisions using various financial and program data.
  • Ensuring the integrity of the financial data by reconciling and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
  • Providing financial support during the bid process.
Requirements
  • Strong background in financial modelling with excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Advanced Excel and MS Office with experience in using similar software tools.
  • CIMA/ACCA qualification is highly desirable.
