Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer

At Aurizon, we are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As an Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the Asset Management of Railway Infrastructure throughout Aurizon Bulk Central rail networks in South Australia and Northern Territory.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for:

  • Organizing and planning the technical aspects of civil projects, including design and preparation of user requirement specifications, material and component specifications, and safety in design requirements for new and altered works.
  • Checking and auditing of civil systems submitted by external providers.
  • Preparing associated documentation, user requirements, system requirements, installation procedures, verification and validation, testing and commissioning, asset handover, type approval, and maintenance procedures for systems.
  • Ensuring that civil designs produced conform to business and industry best practice.
  • Identifying requirements for new processes and standards, and contributing to the production and implementation of new standards, specifications, and work practices.

About You:

You will have a strong background in Civil Engineering, with the ability to apply your expertise practically in an operational environment. You will have a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and 3-5+ years' technical experience. You will also have substantial skills in the development of technical, design, construction, and maintenance engineering solutions, and the application of new technology and techniques.
