Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer

At Aurizon, we are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As an Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the Asset Management of Railway Infrastructure throughout Aurizon Bulk Central rail networks in South Australia and Northern Territory.

About the Role:

You will be working closely with the Infrastructure Manager and other Engineers to strategize and prioritize infrastructure maintenance and renewals/replacements. You will also work alongside Track Superintendents to provide guidance and prioritize the delivery of maintenance works and emergency recovery works.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organize and plan the technical aspects of civil projects, including design and preparation of user requirement specifications, material and component specifications, safety in design requirements for new and altered works.
  2. Check and audit civil systems submitted by external providers.
  3. Prepare associated documentation, user requirements, system requirements, installation procedures, verification and validation, testing and commissioning, asset handover, type approval, maintenance procedures for systems.
  4. Ensure that civil designs produced conform to business and industry best practice.
  5. Identify requirements for new processes and standards, and contribute to the production and implementation of new standards, specifications, and work practices.

About You:

You will have a strong background in Civil Engineering, in Construction, Maintenance, and/or Asset Management, with the ability to apply your expertise practically in an operational environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Mandatory).
  • 3-5+ years' technical experience (Preferred).
