Rent Arrears Specialist

As a Rent Arrears Specialist, you will be responsible for managing rent arrears cases from initial contact through to recovery. You will work closely with tenants, external agencies, and internal departments to ensure that all cases are progressed in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- To be the first point of contact for tenants regarding rent arrears.
- To negotiate repayment plans and determine which cases to escalate or refer to legal services.
- To liaise with tenants, external solicitors, and other agencies to provide a professional and responsive service.
- To monitor and analyse accounts to take timely action on rent arrears cases.
- To refer tenants to debt counselling and welfare benefit advice services as needed.
- A strong understanding of debt management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
£38,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. A range of benefits including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave.
