About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Faculty Technician to join our team in the Department of Applied Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for research and teaching in the Biosciences laboratories. As a Faculty Technician, you will be expected to assist in delivering high-quality technical services, including supporting research within the faculty and setting up practical sessions for undergraduate teaching programs. You will also be responsible for maintaining specialist laboratory spaces and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in specialist laboratory, workshop, or studio facilities with relevant skills, techniques, processes, and procedures. You will also have experience of receiving and responding to enquiries from/to customers, providing support in a technical context, and practical experience of undertaking or contributing to health and safety activities such as risk assessment and/or COSHH.
