About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team on the Emergency Gynaecology Assessment Unit and Gynaecology Inpatient Unit. As a key member of our nursing team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with our medical staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany patients where clinical support is indicated
  • Chaperone patients as required
  • Undertake basic observations, record and report results to qualified staff
  • Ensure patients receive care appropriate to their needs
  • Assist in the set up and clean down of clinics spaces, trolleys and disposal of clinical waste
  • Respond appropriately to clinical emergencies
  • Answer telephone calls and take messages informing appropriate persons of the call
  • Assist in transfer of patients using correct manual handling techniques and equipment as required
  • Report to qualified staff any change in a patient's clinical condition or any concern expressed by a patient about nursing care or medical treatment
