About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team in the Gynaecology Department at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will provide high-quality care to patients, working closely with our medical staff to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, ensuring the dignity and privacy needs of patients are met.
  • Document care provided using digital systems, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assist in the set up and clean down of clinics spaces, trolleys, and disposal of clinical waste.
  • Respond appropriately to clinical emergencies, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Answer telephone calls, taking messages and informing appropriate staff of calls.
  • Assist in the transfer of patients, using correct manual handling techniques and equipment as required.
  • Report any changes in a patient's clinical condition or concerns expressed by patients to qualified staff, without delay.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Health and Safety requirements at work, maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Maintain personal and professional development, undertaking mandatory and essential training as required.
  • Present a professional image, promoting positive working relationships and maintaining the trust's reputation.

Qualifications and Experience
  • GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent.
