SRG is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Director to lead their sales and marketing teams in the North of Scotland.

The Role

As Commercial Director, you will be responsible for people management and setting strategic goals and directions. You will work closely with the company's board and MD to achieve commercial goals on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive business growth and revenue.
  2. Lead and manage sales and marketing teams to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
  3. Collaborate with the board and MD to set and achieve commercial goals.
  4. Travel across the UK and internationally to ensure successful delivery of commercial objectives.

Requirements

  1. Demonstrable prior success in a commercial role in a scientific environment.
  2. Background in science is essential, with a degree in life science, chemistry, environmental science, agriculture, or soil science.
  3. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience of giving presentations to key stakeholders.
  4. Experience using a CRM system, preferably HubSpot.
  5. Previous people management experience.
  6. Ability to understand and interpret financial documentation.
  7. Able to work on-site in Dundee or Aberdeen.

Desirable Qualifications

  1. Recognised business qualification.
  2. Experience in the agriculture, environmental, or soil science industry.
  3. Demonstrable experience of working successfully with overseas customers.
  4. Good understanding of IP and patent applications, including Plant Variety Rights.

This is a hybrid role, with full-time on-site work in Dundee or Aberdeen for the first 3 months, followed by 3 days per week hybrid work.
