Commercial Director Opportunity

Edinburgh City Football Club Limited is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Director to lead our sales and marketing teams. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving commercial growth and achieving strategic goals.

The Role

As Commercial Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing commercial strategies to drive growth and revenue
  • Leading and managing sales and marketing teams to achieve commercial objectives
  • Collaborating with the board and MD to achieve commercial goals on a global scale
  • Traveling across the UK and internationally to ensure successful delivery of commercial objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrable prior success in a commercial role in a scientific environment
  • Background in science, with a degree in life science, chemistry, environmental science, agriculture, or soil science
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience of giving presentations to key stakeholders
  • Experience using a CRM system, with HubSpot being desirable
  • Previous people management experience
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial documentation
  • Able to work on-site in Dundee or Aberdeen
Desirable Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Recognised business qualifications
  • Experience in the agriculture, environmental, or soil science industry
  • Demonstrable experience of working successfully with overseas customers
  • Good understanding of IP and patent applications, including Plant Variety Rights

This is a full-time role, with a hybrid working arrangement in place. You will be required to work on-site in Dundee or Aberdeen for the first 3 months, and then work from home 3 days a week.
