As a Claims Resolution Expert at First Central Services, you will play a crucial role in resolving Personal Injury claims efficiently and effectively.

About the Role

Salary: £42,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key responsibilities include managing a portfolio of Personal Injury claims, negotiating with customers and third-party representatives, and ensuring compliance with Company Policies, Values, and guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation and influencing skills, excellent time management and organisation skills, and good assertive skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of Personal Injury claims
  • Negotiate with customers, suppliers, Unrepresented Claimants, and all relevant Third-Party representatives
  • Promptly identify potential fraud indicators which require referral
  • Ensure that any bodily injury claims with potential large loss indicators are referred promptly
  • Manage Inbound and outbound phone calls and ensure all files are reserved accurately
  • Able to effectively assess basic liability decisions
  • Ensure all continuous improvement ideas are raised via the Team leader or Technical Lead
  • Ensure that all expressions of dissatisfaction are registered
  • Carry out duties, activities, and tasks as directed within the Customer and Operations pillar
  • Ensure compliance with Company Policies, Values, and guidelines at all times

Requirements

We're looking for someone with proven motor claims experience working within a bodily injury claims environment gained from a motor insurer. Experience of handling personal injury claims including indemnity validation, accurate reserve setting, liability resolution, quantum assessment, and settlement techniques is essential. Knowledge of regulatory framework relating to Motor Claims and principles of English Law is also required.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience of handling claims within the OIC (Official Injury Claims) Portal or similar
  • Experience of handling third-party Injury claims liaising effectively with different claimant representatives (KYO/ Non KYO)
  • Proficient knowledge of liability assessment
  • Previous knowledge of FCA requirements (including TCF)
  • Conversant with all sections of Pre-Action Protocol for Low Value Personal Injury Claims, Civil Procedure Rules, and the Road Traffic Act (RTA)
