Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Colleague Head Chef to join our team at Fairmont St Andrews, a Five-Star luxury hotel and resort in Scotland. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Staff Canteen and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution

Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our staff, while ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Staff Canteen Management

Oversee the daily operations of the Staff Canteen, including food preparation, service, and presentation. Ensure that all staff meals are prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.

Team Leadership and Development

Provide guidance and support to junior team members, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties to the highest standards.

Quality Control and Assurance

Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards. Identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.

Requirements
  • Experience and Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in culinary operations and staff management.

Leadership and Communication Skills

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

Attention to Detail

Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
