About the Role

As a key member of our residential team at Barchester Healthcare, this Administrative Support Specialist role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with others and providing exceptional customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting a warm and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors, ensuring that our home is always looking its best.

Main Responsibilities

Promote a positive image and create a welcoming environment for everyone visiting the home.

Manage customer enquiries and showrounds, demonstrating the home's facilities and services to prospective families.

Support the occupancy and reputation of the Care Home by engaging with the local community and promoting our services.

Assist with resident and family feedback, ensuring that we deliver the highest standard of customer care.

Help with the recruitment of home staff, including completing employment checks and arranging inductions.
-
Prepare payroll for home-based staff and provide guidance on HR-related queries.
-
Ensure the security of personal files and attend meetings to take accurate minutes where required.

Update staff records with training, supervisions, and appraisals, offering guidance on staff development opportunities.

Requirements

-
Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a care setting.

Previous involvement in HR administration and recruitment, with a focus on customer care.
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
-
Proficient user of Microsoft, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
-
CIPD qualification beneficial but not essential.
