Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Planning Officer Trainee. In this role, you will work across three teams within the County Council's Planning and Infrastructure Services, assisting in various planning tasks and gaining valuable experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with different teams across the organisation.
  • Assist in the co-ordination responses to Local Plans, Strategic Planning Applications, and other Consultations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the Kent Minerals and Waste Local Plan and determining County Council Planning Applications.

You will be expected to have strong IT skills and show a clear commitment to continued professional and personal development.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English, or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above).
  • Meet educational requirements outlined in the Job description.
  • Show a willingness to work towards a Chartered Town Planner (Degree) Apprenticeship (Level 7) apprenticeship.
